Surfside Marina standard labor rate is $90.00 per hour. Additional charges for shop supplies, environmental fees and taxes may apply. All prices are quoted per unit/engine, additional parts or materials are not included in these quotes.

Winterization Procedures
Inboard
1. Run engine, check for proper operating conditions and flush cooling system
2. Run the engine sufficiently to bring up to normal operating temperature and all the portable gas tank filled with a mixture to circulate through the fuel system
3. Coat internal combustion chambers and values w/fogging oil
4. Spray lubricant on all external engine parts to prevent corrosion
5. If the engine is MPI change the fuel filter
Outboard
1. Run engine, check for proper operating conditions and flush cooling system
2. Run the engine sufficiently to bring up to normal operating temperature and all the portable gas tank filled with a mixture to circulate through the fuel system
3. Coat internal combustion chambers and values w/fogging oil
4. Drain block of water and then fill internal water passage w/anti-freeze, which contains a rust inhibitor
5. Spray lubricant on all external engine parts to prevent corrosion
6. If the engine is closed cool water system check the anti-freeze
7. If the engine is MPI change the fuel filter
Outdrive
1. Remove unit
2. Inspect universal bearing, universal joints, bellows, shift shaft bushing, etc
3. Drain gear lube and refill, reinstall drain screws and replace gaskets
4. Grease shaft and all zerk fittings
5. Reinstall unit
Outboard
1. Run engine, check for proper operating conditions and flush cooling system
2. Run the engine sufficiently to bring up to normal operating temperature and allow the portable gas tank filled with a storage mixture to circulate through the fuel system
3. Coat internal combustion chambers and values w/fogging oil
4. Grease all zerk fittings
5. Drain gear lube and refill, reinstall drain screws and replace gaskets
6. Spray lubricant on all necessary external engine parts to prevent corrosion
Water Systems
1. Drain the water out of the system
2. Run anti-freeze through the system
3. Check for obvious leaks
